I know that I posted about signs of an early spring yesterday and how that is a bad thing for farmers – and it still is. But a girl can still dream- dream about her spring garden that is.
I stumbled across this website a few days and am having a ball designing my garden for this year! Like many of you, I have spring fever in a bad way and cannot wait until mid-May (yes, I have to wait that long to plant) when the danger of frost will pass. Until then, I can design my veggie and flower beds and order seeds. This handy website lets you virtually design your garden and gives you planting tips and a shopping list. A one-stop place for your garden dreams!
Currently on my ever-growing list includes: sugar peas, lettuce blend, spinach, tomatoes (big, small, yellow, red, striped, etc.), pickling cucumbers, beans, peppers (bells, jalapeno, sweet, etc.), squash, zucchini, pumpkins and gourds. Plus an assortment of herbs. Oh and the Farmer and I planted some raspberries last week.
What are some of your garden staples? What time of year do you get to plant your garden?
